Plan any visit during spring or autumn ; usualy 90% less crowded. I visited amazing Southern Spain in november, with temperature between 18 and 22 celsius and few tourists.
#12 My aunt and uncle went to the Taj Mahal, and they said it was spectacular. They also said to bring a bag to carry your shoes in because you have to remove them. Not only is there a massive pile of shoes outside, but also a plethora of 'locals' looking to steal them. They saw a few people walking away barefoot and complaining.
I personally have no interest in things found in a city. In the US we have hundreds of beautiful places to go that aren’t congested and are astoundingly beautiful. I’d much rather find me a little unknown small town in the US than visit anywhere in Europe.
Ahhh, then you want to visit Southeast Alaska. Small towns trapped on islands with history out the wazoo, totem poles, wild animals, dense forests and amazing trails everywhere. Fishing in spring and cheap cruise tickets in fall. Something for everyone from child to child at heart. I live there and I'm still amazed everyday.
last week there was a dump saying many of these are overrated. Like Stonehenge or Checkpoint Charly
For my Part i can definately recommend going to the Grand Canyon (north or South rim).
Versailles is kind of nice but overcrowded. The Garden of the Chateau is the Highlight.
Don't go on the Eiffeltower. Go to the Montparnasse Tower. there you also have a view over the City together with the Eiffeltower. Or just go to Montmartre, there you'll have good view too. Though it is crowded and you cannot see the Eiffeltower very well

There simply are no photos that do it justice. It's equally beautiful and scary.
