#2 Before cell phones we did not wait around for phone calls, we went out and lived our lives; and if someone called while we were out, our answering machine would record their message (if they left one) and we would play it back when we got home.
Our lives did not revolve around our phones as it seems to do today; our lives belonged to us, not someone else demanding our immediate attention.
I was in 2nd grade when my parents got their first answering machine, but I didn't know about it and in fact had never even heard of such a thing. I called home from school because I was sick and I thought my dad was answering the phone, but wouldn't talk to me for some reason. It was a bit traumatizing.
#8 It was my day off and I was asleep. My roommate had come home from work, opened my door and told me to get up turn on my TV. It was like in the movies- I said "what channel?" and he said "just turn it on..."
#20 I googled it, and sincerely wish that I had not. God f@#king damn, dude. I'm so glad I'm not a part of this generation to have to grow up with that awful sh#t.
I remember my uncle telling me about a microwave - telling me it heats food in the container without getting the container hot. I seriously thought he was lying but he had one and I was so amazed.
#1 Just wait... I worked in a preschool at 21 and now the kids have their own kids in preschool... THATS a trip... it's like I helped with your diaper, now we can talk about your kids diapers.
"Younger dude said his first gaming console was the PlayStation 4, first computer ran windows 8, and had no idea what we meant by dial up or rotary phones. Had to stop and reevaluate my age lol."
