#2 These are not candle holders. One end is round so no place to insert the candle, and no way to stand it up as a base. They don't mention how large they are but they appear to be pawns from a chess set.

those are candle holders. However, the metal (actual) holder you'd put those glass things in is missing. There would be a hole you put the holder in (with the round bulby thing down).
