"A Curly-Haired Horse"
"The exact origin of the Bashkir Curly Horse is one of the greatest mysteries of the horse world. Horses with curly coats are most certainly an ancient breed. They have been depicted in art and statuary in early China as far back as 161 AD. There has been evidence of their presence in South America and Europe. There is evidence that Curlies have been in North America since the early 1800's."
Great story by the late Harlan Ellison, made into a movie starring Don Johnson. One of my favorites, and the movie had a great cast, including the inimitable L.Q. Jones, who became good friends with Johnson. It was the first Ellison story I ever read, and the reason I read the rest of his work, including the wonderfully titled "I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream".
This is the part where some uneducated idiot says "Oh, yeah? Prove it! No one was there, so you can't know! I can't understand it, so it must be a lie! Fake news!"
Especially since it wasn't mentioned in the Bible or the U.S. Constitution.
Well he's obviously in the middle of shearing sheep which involves touching animals that don't really bath that often. Can't do it without getting your hands dirty...
