Don't blame China but rather the importer who ordered that they be made as cheaply as possible to maximize profits. China will make what you want at any price point. I have a few belts made in China that are 100% pure leather and probably cost less than that "Calvin Klein" belt which btw has nothing to do with CK but who ever bought the rights to the brand.
