Isn’t it odd that people treat actors, athletes, and politicians as though they are mini-gods? I like movies and sports but I sure don’t give a cr#p about the actors and athletes. It’s such a tiny set of skills that got them there.

I once had a conversation about how I don't like Sonic Youth with two members of Sonic Youth not knowing who they were until my friend was like dude, you were just talking to Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon!!! They seemed grateful to talk to someone who wasn't a fan. Very very nice people.
