You are not "blessed". No one "blessed" you with it. You and your ancestors work hard for all this stuff. Sometimes day and night.

Erna, you should travel outside of your comfort zone - go to a third world country and see what it’s like - then you’ll understand that in the grand picture those with all of these niceties are blessed.

Erna,

You may argue what word to use, "blessed", "lucky", "privaleged", "elite", "1st world", etc. But it is a truth that having those amenities makes life much easier, cleaner, healthier, and productive.

#13 lol you're enabling old people to act like a child when really it's for their kids, and also crochet is definitely done by machine, so is embroidery, needlepoint and looms for a carpet. When it's not, it's done for pennies by some Indian or African.

Molly,
Most crochet comprises multiple layers, making it much more three-dimensional than basic knitting. The creation of the layer is done through inserting the hook through specific previous layers to create different types of stitching, and this 3D type of intricacy is something that machines simply cannot do.

lol yourself.

#13 Someone forgot about the giant textile machines that have been producing sweaters and such. They even do beading on them as well.
