Cathleen, apparently because "it tastes like heaven, but it smells like hell". So hotels don't want the stink in their furniture, curtains etc because it costs a lot to get rid of the stink.

#10 It won't expire by then either. Might be a bit lumpy, but still good. You probably don't have to worry about it though. :-)
