Obviously, if you need to replace one… you need to replace one. But there was once a time where replacing your windows for the energy savings over 15 years + increase in potential resale price was well worth it.
Now? You’re looking at $20k-$30k for what? $20 a month savings in energy usage? In a market where there could be a body in the basement which the potential buyer would let you leave so long as they got the house?"

Industry in various sectors got out of control and is running wild for years, but people still are told that the market will fix that and any attempt to control the situation is labeled as communism. The "freedom" people fight for is mainly the freedom of the wealthy and mighty enterprise companys, not the freedom of the average person. So, it will obviously get worse.

oh so you're a lefty.. typical mixing up political stances with just plain old consumerism. you act like we can just say, Government help! when the government actually partnered with these large corporations. You literally asked for it. go do research on federal grants, regulations, etc. the companies have No Power. it's the government who make and then enforce the rules.

#4 - I'm a week away from finishing a class and I can't tell you how much unnecessary stuff we have to learn. Every instructor is like, "You don't need to know this and I've never used it in 10, 20, or 30 years, but it's on the final test. Not only that, but we're told we have to be professional, communicate with proper grammar and all that, and the instructors don't. Just kinda insult to injury, I guess.
