A handful of responsibilities

30 years ago I worked at a factory that had quite decent pay. At the time I believe it was around $15 or so pr hour. Once every quarter I was set to make a new batch of brackets from some metal plates I put into a machine, clamped them down then pressed a button that made a pneumatic cylinder bend them to the proper angle. Since I was paid pr bracket I'd get paid around $60 pr hour for a couple of days since I found a way to do it very effectively, but by the maker it was mind numbingly dull! I'm glad it was only for a day or two every quarter; I'd NOT want to do that every day even for that amount of money.

Salary is not the most important aspect of a job in the long run. Sure, it needs to be decent, but good co-workers and enjoying the work is far more important, at least to me.
