Uplifting story but whenever I hear about someone talking about things like ballet or cooking classes saying "boys don't do that" I point out that he'll be a guy surrounded by a bunch of girls. Smart kid, he just upped his chances...

Jud,

If you think doing ballet is gay, it's you who got programmed. Turn off fox news and visit the real world.

#3 nobody says boys cannot do ballet, there are male ballet stars and always have been. I hate these kind of fake struggle stories by moms trying to make their life seem more dramatic and important. At this point I'm skeptical he's even in the Nutcracker.

Ivan,

Sorry to tell you but you've been living a sheltered life (or you don't live in the US). Dancing (especially ballet) is still seen as "un-manly" by an unfortunately large number of people. Basically the only physical thing that those people say is "ok" for boys are sports.

Mickey,
Pretty sure that I read somewhere Patrick Swazye studied ballet. I dare you to call him unmanly.

Glory,
They didn't call ballet unmanly, they even said it was unfortunate that people do... (See I actually read what was said before commenting)

Molly,

LOL Based on your history of comments, this is pretty much the pot calling the kettle black. "you just look to pick a fight and be an keyboard warrior" pretty much sums up your trolling.

Glory, I don’t think Patrick Swayze would do a thing about it at this point.

#32 The Grim Reaper is depicted not as Charon the boatman, but the one who cuts your life away from you. Hence, the scythe and the term REAPER

#3 If he's only been dancing for a few months then he won't have any kind of major part, but even making it onstage as an extra in a large dance production is quite an accomplishment...BRAVO!

Asenath,

Well, they don't know the difference between a culture and a club. Probably think cultural appropriation is theft, and don't know about cultural inappropriation.

#15 I respect the ceo less. Most ceos are where there are because they have rich and powerful parents. Most janitors are where they are because they work hard and honest.
