Simeon,
same thought here

As a German it feels like looking in a theater, where a 3rd world country is played

- without human rights (especially for employees)
- without a minimum wage, that's enough for a living
- without free healthcare
- without working time limitations (I don't think, there is an English word for "Arbeitszeitschutzgesetz")

we had this discussion already some days ago about Walmart failing in Germany :-)

Johnny, "Free" healthcare. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Kendra,

first of all, I'm comparing the German healthcare to the so called US Americam healthcare

Of course, I pay a monthly fee . like everybody has to.
But because everybody pays it, it's only a small and affordable amount.

And well, I could go to any doctor now, if I don't like his opinion, I could go to another specialist too. And if I want (or must), I could go to the hospital (If I can't go anymore, a ambulance would be free too) so, the measures are all free, what don't you like about it?

Marv,

well, the fee is BEFORE taxes.
The taxes are automatically reduced exactly with the fee's amount.

So, If anyone would manage somehow to boykott this fee, he would pay the same amount in taxes. That is in fact the definition of free dirol

And no, such a system is not called communism, but community

Johnny,

It’s unbelievable! I hire people here in the UK and there’s no way we could get away with this! We have minimum wage and many other rules to protect workers rights.

#4, I am a student at a community college in the US and that very question was on a test in my Business 1010 course. I too got it wrong because I guess I should have thought everyone wants a ping pong table, never mind that I have never worked a job before where that was a benefit!

This company gave good employees "work bux" (with cringey bitmojis on them, no less) that could be used to redeem top ramen and granola bars.
