I'm sure that was completely due to his diplomatic skills and not the global pandemic (not that I really think the current one is doing that great of a job either)

The current president didn't start those wars. The last president at least tried to start one. The current president doesn't let down on allies of the US. The last one did several times. The current president didn't try to overthrow the government and murder his vice president with the help of an angry crowd.
