#6 i do this. i don't see an issue it saves all the broken shells together. it's not like most people ever reuse a carton, except farmers.

i always reuse the egg cartons. And here they are made of cardboard. Last year
i threw away about 5 boxes. Most of the year i was using the same Box. When i had excess boxes i gave it back to the farmer.
