#15 Learning a musical instrument takes discipline and dedication. If you didn’t do it, you don’t have those things and you would never have done it in any reality. Let it go. It’s just not you.

Cora, This is not correct. I teach piano - I’ve seen people in their 30s and 40s, even some in their 50s, come in and quickly bypass the normal curriculum and when I ask them if they ever played they say something like “no, we never had any instruments in the house.” Some people just have an innate ability that does not go away even though they never played in their youth. And there are some that want to learn that aren’t necessarily naturals and quite a few go on to play quite well. Playing music is good for your brain.

Ance,

Said every boomer to every renting/bus-riding/laborer millennial, since they already have those "big" purchases BEFORE credit scores even existed.

I forgot the millenials have Bachelors degrees they will never pay-off, and is useless in the job market, preventing them from getting loans.

#13 And how would you pay for those travels when you are young? Apparently in Asia they have a big problem with penniless Americans on "lifetime treks" begging as they go. It's a disgusting fad.

#12 That's exactly backwards. Chasing happiness is a recipe for disaster.

#4 My 20s and 30s were ALL pain, but around 40 the numbness started to kick in, so that's a bit better.

“Stretching and maintaining muscle mass. When I had kids I stopped both and it took a decade to get that back. Treat your body well. Something happens around 38 and the better shape you are in the better your 40’s and after will feel.”
