In my 30 year career in software development I’ve known three people that genuinely had a superior intellect - I’m not talking just above average - I mean superior. Two of them were the most socially incompetent people I’d ever met - it is as if that area of their brain was non-functioning. To me they had a rather sad life - no real friends and no real hobbies. Rarely smile nor joke - always business like. The third one was a guy from Mississippi - very southern accent - the opposite of what I thought a superior intellect would be. But he was great to work with. Quick with a joke. Liked to hunt and ride motorcycles. And just the nicest guy. And what I really liked about him is that he could teach - he could explain complicated issues for the average Joe to understand.

People who have the need to brag about their "intellect" online, can directly be classified as the oposite of what they claim to be.

The best thing about all of these is that the IQ Testers are not evaluating mathematics, or physics knowledge... if you take a real one from a trained tester, a bunch of it is social knowledge, and practical problem solving in a person's native cutural zone (tests are diffrent all over the world and are not comparable to each other). So, in essence every IQ is just an educated guess.
