All this nonsense is why it's has become easier than ever to change your name legally. My own sister fell into this stupidity, she wanted her girl to be Aria (like music), but can't pronounce it and says Area, but on the birth certificate spelled it Aira (like the male name). I can't pronounce it the way she does, because I know her true meaning, but I also can't correct her pronunciation because she's literally too stupid to hear the differences when I do.
