Star Wars had made sci-fi cool again and the film even had a soundtrack with songs from Queen but even those factors couldn’t put it above $27 million at the box office. Originally, audiences couldn’t grasp that the film’s camp aesthetic was intentional but audiences that caught it on TV saw the vision. The film’s belated popularity was also helped by Seth McFarlane making it an integral part of his hit comedy Ted, which star Sam Jones had a supporting role in.
If you haven't seen this give it a shot.
I fell across it (On T.V) and it's hilarious.
Side note: These two are married (and have been) for a very long time.
Good chemistry.
