#16 I can definitely relate. I served with many good Marines during my 20 yrs. K.illed with them, bled with them, carried wounded comrades with them and scrounged up bits of that were left. Birthday? Name of Kids? Birthplace? No. Marine? Yes. 0311? Yes. 0326? Yes.

Not seeing a friend for years doesn't mean we we're fighting.

Seeing someone after 5 years and literally picking up where we left off.

Another Horiscope style dump about gender... I read very carefully to see if these apply to my reality... and no, as a female, nothing here applies. Maybe because I'm not small, frail, and grew up with three brothers, but every female "surprise" is propaganda based.

"The expectation to help in certain situations, especially as a big guy.

I went to a retirement party for a person I never met before (invited by a friend). Literally minutes after I showed up, some random lady came up to me and told me to come with her because she needed something carried somewhere.

After I helped the woman above, I remember my (female) friend was kinda surprised that this woman just demanded I help her, without knowing who I was at all. I don’t mind helping. On some level it’s nice (?) knowing that I look strong enough to help people do things they physically can’t. But this happens ALL. THE. TIME. Which also surprised her."
