“There were Holocaust survivors that died shortly after being liberated because their body couldn’t handle the increased calories when they were fed by the soldiers that freed them.”

“In 2018 my sister was murdered. We know who did it. We keep track of where he lives, he has moved 4 times since my sister disappeared. The police also know he did it. There’s not enough evidence to bring him in or charge him. Her body has still never been found. If I go after him he becomes the victim and I won’t be able to be a father to my children.

From our interactions with state police and FBI my impression is that our situation, while a nightmare, is perhaps not as rare as you would normally assume or hope.”

“Terminal lucidity is the return of mental clarity or memory or consciousness shortly before death. This happens to around 10% of people with dementia. “

“In 1933, a doctor named Carl Tanzler raided the tomb of a female patient with whom he’d become obsessed and stole her body. He lived with the corpse for seven years. As the body fell apart, he attached the corpse’s bones together with wire and coat hangers, and fitted the face with glass eyes. He was only caught when someone saw him dancing with the corpse in front of an open window.”

It explains why many modern animals have very wrinkly faces and many golden retrievers don’t live past the age of 12 due to cancer. “

Elze,

There’s no honor in being needlessly racist. But, what would someone like you know of honor. sm_80

Minerva, Elze stated a verifiable fact. What would you know of history? Or what racism is, for that matter?

#1 - “ Over 46% of ocean waste is fishing nets.” First of all there’d be no way to measure that. And second of all it’s extremely likely that the percentage is way too high. Watch any show that goes to remote islands - tons of trash on the beaches. You don’t see it in the water - you only see it when it’s on land.

Frances,

and let's not forget the great garbage patch. It covers an estimated surface area of 1.6 million square kilometers, an area twice the size of Texas or three times the size of France.

Frances,

You know NOTHING ABOUT COMMERCIAL FISHING! If you live in a fishing town you would know how many nets go missing, cut... and the horrible bycatch laws means when you catch 6 fish and only 1 is your "target" you have to throw the other 5 dead fish overboard or face hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines.

#2 it's not technically true. They died for many reasons. Sickness, injury and starvation. If they died of starvation they where too week to recover and their organs where shutting down.

#11 Vicotrian times may have started the trend but a single human can create a "purebread" in only 13-20 years with enough inbreeding for specific traits. Dozens of "purebred" have been created since 2000.
