In Europe and the rest of the world (probably some more exceptions) the sport is called football.
Americans changed up Rugby, and called it Football/American Football instead of just calling it American Rugby.
But calling it kick and carry and throw ball would be stupidly complicated and specific.
Agreed. American Football should logically be called 'Tackleball,' since the foot is only utilized in Kick-offs and Field Goals and the whole premise of the game is to tackle the player with the ball as soon as he has it. So, ya know...DUH. Right?
