#17 I never believed in the down syndrome lifespan cr#p. In my hometown I know at least a dozen down syndrome people and ALL are living well and most have survived their parents and none I know have have died in their 30's or 40's, or 50's due to their condition. So even the estimates in 1982 were very wrong and NOT based on down syndrome, but rather care failures of institutions they were left in.

#27 Yes, pasta works the same way as all carbohydrates, and makes us happy because we are designed to enjoy high calorie foods. But, it's the same with any sugar, and all these anecdotal studies are easy to prove any way you want.

#33 Increased from when? How would volume reduce dimentia? A large person does not get dementia slower or faster than a smaller person, it depends on what is causing the condition and their health, NOT BRAIN SIZE. Did mathematicians try their hand at medical science because that is how fallacious this sounds.

#31 I suspect they meant to say a GLASS of wine. No restaurant can stay in business for long giving away that many bottles of wine.

Gilbert,

In Italy a bottle of wine costs next to nothing.
