When I was in high school I took a class called Wood Shop. Some kid was using a radial arm saw (a circular saw mounted on a sliding horizontal arm). He used his left hand to hold the wood steady which meant his left arm crossed the path of the saw. Sure enough, the bonehead pulled the saw out and cut his arm. He was lucky he didn’t cut his arm off - just needed some stitches.
