#36 but trees young growing trees are what absorb the CO2. cutting down trees is not a bad thing. not replanting new ones is the problem. in many situations, it is a good thing because wood is a renewable building material. and in my older forests large old trees can block so much light that nothing on the surface can grow. thinning is a very important thing in maintaining a healthy forest. concrete is responsible for 4-8% of GLOBAL CO2 emissions.
