Judson,

True story, you can go to the archives of ABC 13 in Houston, Texas (KTRK). They had a consumer reporter named Marvin Zindler (yes, the same Marvin Zindler of "Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" fame) who was contacted by a renter in a local town regarding substandard living conditions who wanted to sue the owner. Turns out the renter had gutted the house of anything that could be sold as supported by a video walkthrough prior to move in. Marvin had to give an on-air apology chastising the renter. Conservatives are not the problem, but conservatism is the solution.

Because Democrats would never allow the “metal health support” aspect of it. That the key.

#30 Diamonds are not rare. A marketing gimmick by the De Beers corporation to convince the masses to buy them at inflated prices. Rubies Emeralds Sapphires and other gemstones are rare.

Adelphia,

That's kind of true. Gem quality diamonds are scarce. But, there's a relative abundance of flawed diamonds that are crushed up and affixed to cutting tools like hole saws for glass cutting and circular saw blades for cutting hard materials. One Home Depot store could literally have more diamonds in the tool area than a jewelry store...just low quality ones.

#16 - that's a bit of an oversimplification of the study. They applied the Nash Equilibrium Equations to traffic and found that all highways have a critical density that once reached, a single car added to the road would cause a cascading traffic jam. The "fixed distance" was just a way to model the flow of traffic.

Pheriba, I didn't read the study you referenced but I recall reading about the "accordian effect" - for example, at a traffic light each car takes off a fraction of a second later than the car ahead which is very inefficient. Efficient would be like a train where all cars start moving at the same time. I figured #16 was referring to that.
