I call it, "Self-Appointed Philanthropist Syndrome." True philanthropists don't advertise it. In my opinion, these types of people are somewhat sociopathic. They desire to be good people, without actually being good so they have to convince others, usually through social media, that they are. They need to be SEEN doing good. Which makes them frauds.
