Now, archaeology students digging at Philippi have made another astonishing find: the head of an 1,800-year-old statue of Apollo. This follows the 2023 discovery of a Hercules statue right nearby, and experts believe that both sculptures were part of an enormous fountain that sat in the city square.⁠"
