Going to one of these 'gyms' to get healthy, is like going to I-Hop to get healthy. Yeah, you work out in the exercise equivalent of McDonalds.
Source: me; 65yo. My most recent hike was 33 miles with 5500ft of total elevation. This is after a lifetime of health-related disability, two spine surgeries, etc. I guarantee no more than 10% of gym-goers could do that hike, and no more than 5% could do it then get up the next day and walk 6 miles doing errands, or ride a bike 40 miles.
I went to gyms from the 70s until about 15 years ago. I could never have done this at any age, while relying on a gym to get me ready.

Have fun in your McGym. I'll be out on the trail.
