#14 Displaced Pennsylvanian here; now living on the 'American Riviera' on the left coast. People come from around the world to visit where I live now, simply because of its natural beauty. And yes, it is that beautiful. But this scene is something I miss, sometimes greatly. The sights, yes; but also the smell of autumn in the air; the sound of leaves crunching underfoot; the invigoration after a long hot summer. Gorgeous.

#35 Not surprising. When hiking in a natural setting, you'll probably find that the greatest proliferation of flowers occurs where the forest has been disturbed. Sometimes it's disturbed by footpaths; sometimes by a creek/stream, etc. But that's where they occur most.
