#3 Regional train in Japan. Wife and I enter. "Dang, only backwards facing seats.", we sit anyway.

Woman comes in, switches seat direction. Wife and I were amazed and a little bit embarrased, but we switched, too :)

#7 Oh yes, experimental archaeology. Very interesting field of research!

#7 is a Rapa Nui (Easter Island) moai being moved. For a century it was a puzzled how these massive stones were moved many miles from the quarry to other parts of the island. The islanders told the white men that the stones "walked" which was, of course, dismissed.
