Used to be an IT tech, had someone bring their laptop looking pretty similar. They had accidentally run it over with their car (I actually believed it to be an accident, nice person but kinda spacy and forgetful at times). So the answer is no it can't be fixed but the data might be recoverable depending on the HD...
