what does that have to do with behavior? it's a young one chained up and abandoned. so it probably had anxiety and chewed. Humans are so utterly cruel.

It was proven by engineers that the statue could not have been straddling the bay entrance because it would have collapsed due to the weight (bronze). Also, the debris after the earthquake collapse would have been blocking the bay, itself.
