My only problem with Country music is that it's not really Country music anymore. Recently, I was driving thru one of those areas which had nothing but Country and Jesus on the radio. I heard about 10-12 songs. A grand total of ONE of them had an acoustic instrument in it, and that was just a guitar, which was quietly tucked in the background. The rest were absolutely nothing but what I call Light Metal. Nothing but electric guitars, a twang, and probably a hat. If the (comical fake country) accent were removed, it would have been something along the line of Metallica in one of their mellower moments. Sorry, folks, but nowadays Country is about as Country as Grunge Rock. And it's about as authentic as Dolly Parton's face. Or Donnie Tramp's face, for that matter. (btw: when did y'all dudes start voting for men who wear makeup? Is Country going gay now?) Used to be you could hear Gospel, Western Swing, Rockabilly, Bluegrass, and all other Country-related genres. Now, it's just bland, anti-septic Rock n Roll. Y'all took the Country right outta Country.
