Angelina, a gift card (might as well have been cash) was gifted to the DIL. It was now her "money". She chose to use *her money* to purchase yarn and then add time and effort to knit a blanket to give as a gift. That's a seriously ungrateful MIL.

Lorrie, you don't know anything about the newborns condition; it could be born very early or have other conditions causing it to be at high risk.
It takes a special kind of ignorance to not know and not want to understand that vaccines is a way for the body to learn the weak points of a virus or bacteria without having to actually become sick. It's like those scratch and sniff cards to learn what propane gas smells like so you can recognize it in case of e leak without actually having to let explosive gas out inside your house.
