Jefferey, because Christianity and conservatives fear the populace becoming educated. Education leads to asking questions and the last thing christians and conservatives want is the sheep asking questions: their job is to OBEY,not question.

Then again some books are put in school libraries that don't belong, such as It’s Perfectly Normal: Changing Bodies, Growing Up, Sex, Gender and Sexual Health. Cover includes "For Ages 10 & Up!" This book has drawn sexually graphic pictures including anal plugs and sexual positions. Again note, the cover markets it to 10 year olds. Though I think the latest version removed that particular piece. When this thing blew up politically, I looked this book up and others too. It does not belong in a school library regardless of political or religious beliefs. But the only thing I hear from you is "how dare they censor this?" If your goal is to expose minors and my kid to these kind of things, then I will stand against you, and at all cost.

#5 to remove the pornography from elementary schools... Yes, they had them and the governor decided to fine any schools that continued to keep it available for little children to view and read. In the VERY short time between his order to remove it and the individual school compliance, some idiotic schools covered everything to make more drama.
