On the morning of April 6, 2025, a devastating accident unfolded on Interstate 95 in McIntosh County, Georgia. Reagan Dougan, a 27-year-old Raleigh, North Carolina, mother, was on the road with her four small children, ages two, three months, four, and nine. AP News says that they were traveling to Florida to meet the lady’s spouse. 

Their journey took a tragic turn when their rented Jeep SUV collided with a sedan, hit a guardrail, and ignited in flames. Sadly, all five occupants of the SUV lost their lives at the scene. They took the driver of the other car to the hospital.

The Dougan family had recently settled into a peaceful neighborhood in Raleigh, where they were well-liked by their neighbors. PEOPLE notes that the local community is grieving deeply. Meanwhile, authorities are actively investigating the details surrounding the crash.
