#39 The reason for this is simple: in Europe,
The maximum length of a standard truck in the EU is 12 meters.
For a truck with a trailer (truck combination), the maximum length may be 16.50 meters.
For LHVs (Long Heavy Vehicles), the maximum allowed length is 18.75 meters.
So by moving the driver section below the cargo section, you can maximise the amount that can be transported at the same time.
