Tighter cropping very often improves pictures. Underexposing all of them and adding a warmth filter doesn't make them artistic.

or: composition is important, but lighting and color palette should be ignored.
or: choreography is important, but the music doesn't matter.
Maybe those shots were for clients who asked for them specifically. In that case, it's job well done, no matter what your opinion is.
Sounds as if you and your 7 friends are elitist foto snobs, who are all legends in your own minds.
