#29 Since the description is vague, what you're looking at is a colorized photo of a scene from "The Great Molasses Flood" of 1919 in Boston. 21 people and a lot of horses drowned. What happened was a 40 ft tower that held a tank with 2.3 million gallons of molasses fell over and created a tidal wave engulfing a huge part of downtown Boston that, to this day, if it's exceptionally hot, you can still smell the molasses around the epicenter. I can attest to this because I used to live near there in the 1980's. The smell is not very pleasant.

Rebecca,They knew the tank was weak because it leaked and was continually creaking and groaning. They refused to replace it or upgrade it. The molasses was used to make whisky, IIRC.
