#17 "The world can be so, so kind." Its inhabitants?...Not as much as they used to be. It takes a certain degree of age to see the difference. I feel lucky to have been born in the Summer of Love, a child in the 70's, a teen in the 80's, a young man in the 90's. There was so much unconditional kindness and respect with people in these decades. Unfortunately, 9/11 was the beginning of the end of all that, with the erosion of civil liberties and forced, political division by media, personal Narcissism and the perverse whims of the ruling elite. Now look at us. "Are you not entertained?!"

70s: Viet Nam; the Olympic massacre; Nixon; Son of Sam; wars, coups, assassinations all over the world, etc.
80s: the El Mozote Massacre(by a US-led group); Beirut barracks bombing; Pan Am Flight 103; more wars, coups, and assassinations all over the world
90s: same same same
Stop romanticizing the past. If you think the world was ever loving and kind, you're living in a fantasy.

Or maybe you meant: "...þu miht ongan mid þinum gramere to forþian...".
Because if you're going to be pedantic, why not go all the way, and use Middle English or Old English?
