#48 little fun fact QWERTY was specially designed to slow you down. which was important for typewriters because typing too fast could jam the mechanism. And even tho it's all digital now, we are stuck with it.

Tamzine, Actually, it was designed to put the most commonly used letters apart from each other, because otherwise they would jam with each other due to being struck at almost the same time. QWERTY typists can type as rapidly as typists on any other keyboard.
