One rumor I remember from the 1970's was that Alice Cooper was actually Ken Osmond, the actor who played Eddie Haskell on 'Leave It To Beaver.' The rumor became so widespread that Alice Cooper wore a T-shirt on stage that read, "No, I'm Not Eddie Haskell."

Singer, songwriter, and lead guitarist for a known 80's and early 90's band here. I couldn't read music either, and out of our five members, only our keyboardist could. Nothing new, and no big deal, until we went in the recording studio, and the board guy, or our management would tell me to add a fifth, or a ninth to my chord. Me and the band would say, show me, and I'll play the shit out of it! HA!
