Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire learned to be responsible with his money from a young age due to his unstable upbringing. In an interview with Parade, he said, "When I first started being successful at this, financially speaking, I was very conservative with my money. I just never wanted to put myself in the position where my spending was so huge that I had to keep making movie after movie."

Blah Blah Blah - must be nice to have everything and not have to worry about paying bills or putting food down for the kids. With money you can have nirvana.

People don't seem to understand that if you have enough resources to not have to worry about the weather, food and other basic needs more money does not make things inherently superior or meaningful.
Also not chasing/putting effort into status/signaling for people with already high status is almost a given. I am surprised that more celebs arnt doing "poor people things".
