Is there some physics about being able to get your head in, but not back out?

As someone who really got stuck in a very similar, embarrassing way many (many) years ago: sometimes ears are like those plastic clips that prevent you from disassembling stuff, sometimes it's just that balustrade rods get bigger on the lower end. Slip your head in, kneel down, no way back and instant panic...
