it is extremely ignorant to believe that humans were too stupid to use a form of the wheel or wheel like / round objects to move items to different places. The more you study history, without our preconceived "superiority" complex, the more you find that humans came up with very sophisticated solutions for the problems of their day. Many of such solutions have been lost due to the lack of record keeping, however we know they conquered these issues since many structures remain.
Maybe we should study them form the viewpoint that they were as intelligent as we are today, I wonder what new thinks we would learn about them and even ourselves.
