Simon Cowell is stepping up to the plate and taking full responsibility for Cheryl Cole’s X Factor exit. Cole was cast as a judge on the show but was sent packing before the show even premiered. Cowell, the series creator said his primary goal in sending Cole packing was to ease her homesickness insisting at the time of the sacking, he thought he was doing her a favor because she seemed unhappy. Cole was offered a pay raise to return to the U.K version of the show but the contract talks stalled and the deal ultimately fell through.
