These photos were some of the winners of the World Press Photo competition of 2009. Over 5,000 photographers from all over the world took part in this competition. They are truly some amazing photos and represent the very best the world of photography has to offer.
These incredible photos are of some amazing optical illusions. Although you may have seen some of these before I think you will find many more you have not seen before. It is truly bizarre how Michael Kai is able to think these things up. Makes you wonder what he does in his spare time.
These beautiful photos were taken by the world famous ski photographer Grant Gunderson. There are not many pictures but they are so beautiful that we decided to make a separate post with them. They are truly amazing.
The sculptures in these photos are truly amazing. What makes them even more amazing is that they are sculpted entirely out of butter. The artist must really be talented and the temperature of the room where the sculpture was created must have been critical.
Some of these photos have already posted but as this collection is huge we decided to put all of them in here. Some of the ladies in their superhero costumes are very sexy; the majority of these costumes are simply ridiculous. It is truly amazing what some people will do to come up with an original costume at this festive time of year. What will they think of next?
Those are real photos, they have not been photoshopped! Everything is actually hanging on wires.
It’s a very nice work that required to its authors a lot of patience!
Those amazing high detail works have been created by Allen and Patty Eckman. They make those sculpture with their own hand-made cast paper since 1988.
Apparently, some works are so painstakingly detailed they can take many months to get complete!
I love it!
It may look like nothing on the first pic but it’s only to not reveal yet how amazing this sand sculpture is!
It’s really an impressive work, with so many details…
Be sure to check this out, it's worth it!
Cheeming Boey is an artist who likes to use a Sharpie and make art on foam cups rather that using paintbrushes and painting on canvas or paper… it’s unusual but why not, after all it’s really well done…
His passion transformed into a business as he now sells them for hundreds of dollars.
Look at more of those cups after the jump!
The artist responsible for those masterpieces is Craig Tracy. This art is not new and you may have already seen lots of photos of this kind but I must say those ones are really amazing.
This great artist decides what to paint when he sees the model's body, using their shape as an inspiration for ideas and he can spend two days planning before applying the first splash of paint…
Just brilliant!
There are lots of types of highway interchanges. You will find here most of them. Some are truly amazing.
Alan Sailer, 54, is a photographer based in California. He is an expert in high-speed photography. You can see a lot of high-speed photography now on the Internet, but I must say this series is by far my favorite, it’s very colorful and the shots are just amazing.
Take a look at this big series, it is worth it.
Artist Luke Jerram has created some of the world’s deadliest viruses and bacteria in glass for his Viral Sculptures exhibition which will be held in London at The Smithfield Gallery, from the 22nd of September to the 3rd of October. He made those masterpieces with the help of virologists and scientific photographs and the help of a team of glassblowers.
We often see pictures of viruses and bacteria in colors but they are actually transparent, so Luke Jerram created each virus and bacterium in its natural colorness state.
Take a look at his impressive and very original work inside the post.
After seeing such resumes, I can tell you, I would be much interested if someone sends me one of those. Well, if I was the big boss of a notorious firm.
But nowadays, when it is hard to come up with something new, these people reinvent the simple and put it into a creative form that makes it interesting to read.
These people can sure think outside the box!
I was surfing on the internet and got across these awesome pictures.
I want to share it with you. Things like this should be seen.
More information about this technique you can read here.
