Vernon C. Bain Correctional Center is a huge prison barge that can hold up to 800 inmates. It has 16 dormitories and 100 cells. The barge was built for in 1992 for $161 million in order to reduce overcrowding in New York prisons and has served as a part of the city's prison complex at Rikers Island since then.

Social issue photographer Stephen Shames captured these beautiful images of life on the “bad” side of the Bronx, the northernmost of the five boroughs of New York City.
TrustCorp stole some signs from NYC’s subway and replaced them with some “Feel Good” signs. While TrustCorp’s signs are very creative and clever, there are probably many helpless tourists left to wonder what happened to the real subway signs.
Another awesome collection of pictures of New York City from a bird’s eye view. Feels like you are flying above Manhattan which is simply beautiful. I love NYC’s architecture and landscape design so much!
