Some Finnish guy sent these Texan guys a can of surströmming (fermented Baltic herring), a staple of traditional northern Swedish cuisine. They decided to film themselves trying to eat it…
Fyi: according to a Japanese study, a newly opened can of surströmming has one of the most putrid food smells in the world.

This place is probably the most beautiful in Texas. It’s Hamilton Pool that was created thanks to the collapse of the underground river’s dome because of erosion thousands of years ago.

These are some very clever posters for movies that took place in Texas. They are the creation of Jason Munn for the Texas Monthly Rolling Roadshow. They are very interesting and creative.
This abandoned Prada store with solar panels on the roof is located on a desolate highway 90 in West Texas. It was built as a piece of art and promotional stunt by Scandinavian designers Michael Elmgreen and Ingar Dragset who spent over $80,000 on it. The solar panels generated electricity during the day and at night this boutique’s show-window shined like a rainbow. Sadly, this project didn’t survive the time, because its walls were soon painted with graffiti, windows were broken and shoes were stolen. The funniest thing is that those shoes could only suit people with disabilities, because all of them were “right” foot shoes.
This is what was found by a border patrol near the Texan-Mexico border. Apparently, this belonged to Los Zetas, a Mexican cartel with Guatemalan ties in the city of Nuevo Laredo, Mexico some 100 miles away from Laredo, TX.
Well, there are enough weapons to provide a small army…
I want to thank our visitor Justin Griggs who sent us this news.
Here's what he wrote: “These are pictures stright out of the oil fields of West Texas. A worker was making his rounds one morning when he drove up on this huge hole in the ground, they call them “sink holes” nobody is sure what causes them, they just happen spontaneously. This one was an estimated 200ft across and over 50ft deep!”
In the last picture, I put a car into a red rectangle so you could see how big this hole is.
If you have interesting material, don’t hesitate to send it to us, we will publish it))

A year ago the strongest hurricane Ike raged in the south Texas.
This compilation shows very good what people can do in a year, if they like the place where they live and work hard to make it better.
This time it’s a Ferrari that got trashed at a crossing in Sherman, Texas.
The irony is that it happened on the 1st of April.
