65 year old Yang Xiaoyun runs an animal shelter in Tianjin and she spent $1000 and travelled overl 1,5000 miles (1609 kms) to save 100 dogs who would otherwise have been eaten at the summer solstice festival in Yulin.

Some areas in the world have more adoptable dogs than others which is where volunteer organization, “Wings Of Rescue”, comes in. Dedicated pilots fly the dogs from overcrowded shelters to places where they can be rehomed. It costs around $80 per dog and they have saved 12,000 dogs since 2009.
This cute doggie duo have welcomed little Reese to their clan and now it is just adorableness overload.
An officer from the Kansas City Police Department was pictured sitting with two dogs on the side of the road keeping them warm. He was on his way home from work and instead of just calling it in and leaving them, he got off his bike and kept the dogs warm with him. Later the owners were happy to find them at the animal shelter. Well done sir!
